Friday, April 4th:
On Friday, the baseball team played against Elyria High School at home. The Rangers took the field and won with ease with the final score being 8-3. Jackson Comer got his first career varsity win, pitching 4 innings with 8 strikeouts. He also had two hits offensively for the game. Cooper Russell hit an inside-the-park home run, and Riley Verderber hit his first career home run. The team will be back on the field on Tuesday, April 8th, at home against the Rocky River Pirates.
Friday night, softball got a big win against the Brookside Cardinals with a final score of 16-0. It was an overall team win, with all three pitchers getting to pitch during the game. Gaby Carroll-Greeves and Carys Crone received Rangers of the game, and both pitched well alongside Ella. Their next game will be away at Independence High School.
Saturday, April 5th:
On Saturday, the girls’ lacrosse got its first win of the season with a final score of 10-9. During the first quarter, they were down 0-3, but they worked hard and battled back to win. Senior Luella Darr was named player of the game for the 2nd time this season. Their next game will be on Wednesday, April 9th, against West Geauga at West Geauga High School.
Saturday the boys’ lacrosse team went up against Chardon High School at home. Unfortunately, after a tough game, the boys were short a few points to Chardon High School in the end with the final score being 13-7. Their next game will be away on Tuesday, April 8th, against Keystone High School.
