Last night, the girls’ tennis team held down the fort as they took on the Panthers of Elyria Catholic High School. The Rangers made quick work of their opponents, however, winning by a score of 5 matches to 0. The JV Tennis team also got some valuable reps in, winning 3-2. From The Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award” goes to Senior Delaney Starr, who won the last match of the day in an intense battle to secure Lakewood’s victory. This puts the Girls Tennis team on a 4-match win streak, which they will have the chance to continue tonight against the Westlake Demons at home.
Last night, the girls’ volleyball team played their second consecutive game, facing off against our rivals, Rocky River, in the home of the Rangers. The Rangers won in the fourth set, defeating the Pirates 25-22 in their final set. Notable performances come from Ariana Hueter and Indigo Moncrief, both of whom stood out with impressive hitting and blocking. Congrats on the win, volleyball! Good luck on Thursday in your game against Normandy!
