Monday night, the girls’ tennis team took on Amherst Steele High School at home. Unfortunately, the match ended in a 4-1 loss. Senior Abby Peck did a great job stepping up to the Varsity level and earned herself the From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award.” The girls will be back in action Tuesday against Brunswick. They are also preparing for the Cleveland West Conference tournament on Wednesday.
The boys’ soccer team also saw some action last night at home, taking on the Warriors from Walsh Jesuit High School. They too suffered a loss, 4-1. Sophomore Ilyas Goolagha scored a second-half goal to prevent the shutout, but that would be all the Rangers could get. The boys will have to put this loss to the side as they take on Rocky River at home in the infamous “Battle of the Bridge.” Come on out Wednesday to cheer them on!
