The boys’ soccer team hosted the Avon Eagles on Monday night. The Eagles are currently ranked No. 4 in the state. The boys battled to a 0-0 tie. Senior Louis Van der Kuil played a strong game in goal, preventing any goals. He earned the “Who Put the Hustle in Award.” The team will be back in action Wednesday against Normandy away.
The girls’ tennis team’s season ended at Sectionals, marking the end of the 2025 campaign for the Rangers. Senior Delaney Starr narrowly lost a match that could have advanced her to districts. Although the season is over, the team had a great year filled with fun.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
Last night, Lakewood’s girls’ volleyball team held its senior night, honoring seniors Audery McNulty, Joey Lautzenheizer, Erin Boyer, Olivia Baker, and Rowan Elyko for their dedication and hard work throughout their careers as Lakewood athletes. Lakewood beat Valley Forge in three sets, providing a fun and entertaining night for the senior festivities. From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in” award goes to senior Joey Lautzenheizer for getting a kill while playing front row, the first of her career. Lakewood High is proud of all its seniors, and we wish them luck in the final season and the future of their lives!
