Owner Nick Robson said, “It was always my fat kid dream to own a pizza shop.” He made that dream come true by opening his pizza shop with his friends and creating a friendly, warm atmosphere that supports the community.
Ohio Pie’s Thanksgiving pizza started as a staff tradition. Employees would bring in leftovers from Thanksgiving and top a pizza with as many toppings as possible. After doing this for a few years, Robson considered turning it into a menu item. They developed a more organized and logical plan for how to make the pizza, and the customers surprisingly loved it! “I have recommended Ohio Pie to others. I tell them they have such fun types to choose from, and if you’re bored with basic cheese and pepperoni pizza, you should definitely try their unique pizzas,” said Lauren Brownlee, an Ohio Pie customer.
Robson said, “I want every bite to taste like that last bite of Thanksgiving dinner. I want it to taste like you’re not even eating pizza.” Ohio Pie focuses on creating more than just a pizza — they want customers to experience a full flavor of the holiday with every bite.

Robson started Ohio Pie Co. in Brunswick, Ohio. When the business was still small, customers would ask, “What’s pizza like in Northeast Ohio?” Robson would reply, “It’s not special. It’s like pizza you can get anywhere else in the country.” But right when the business began, he told his employees and staff, “Let’s do something that makes the pizza unique.” After establishing that, they opened a location in Parma, and in August 2021, they opened one in Rocky River. Robson takes pride in how each shop is different, offering customers a different experience at whichever shop they choose to visit.
