The girls lacrosse team had a game last night against Beaumont. They lost this matchup 17-10. Despite the steep score, the girls fought to the end, scoring 5 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game. Senior Gwern Hongosh scored 5 goals, including notching a hat trick in the first quarter alone. The girls will be back in action tomorrow, April 25 against South East High School.
Boys’ baseball played Rocky River last night, destroying them 12-2. Lakewood is now 13-0, going undefeated. Senior Drew Jones had five innings on the mound with only 1 Earned Run, and also slammed a home run, earning him the “Who Put in the Hustle” award. Lakewood baseball’s next game is tonight at 4:45.
