Employee Gabby Wohlgemuth said, “All the wine training we get, all the education that we get, so we can come to the table and answer questions and know how to steer the festivals.” This dedication to education reflects the staff’s commitment and the impact of small businesses within the Lakewood community.
Lakewood has a high concentration of family-owned businesses. “Lakewood almost doesn’t allow corporate restaurants to come into the community,” Deeb said. Having grown up in Westlake, he notes that his heart has always been in Lakewood because of the welcoming community. To see someone who has always loved Lakewood to live their version of the “American Dream” is inspiring to many.
Humble’s pizza dough is made from only 4 ingredients, keeping it simple and fresh. Their pizza is cheesy and filled with flavor. As previously mentioned, they have a variety of different Neapolitan-style pizzas, some more original than others. The menu is rounded out by drinks and appetizers, including salads and cheese boards.
