Tuesday, April 1st:
Yesterday night, softball faced off against the Bay Village Rockets. From start to finish the girls played strong, and won with a final score of 13-0. Ella Bower pitched a no hitter and had 9 strikeouts. Emily Gillick worked hard behind the plate and made strong contact during her at bats. It was an overall team win and the girls worked together well. Tomorrow they play at home vs Madison High School.
Across the school, the boys baseball team fought hard at home against Ignatius, sadly losing 9-5 with 8 hits and 2 errors from Ignatius and 7 hits and 1 error from our Lakewood Rangers. The Lakewood Rangers baseball team plays again tomorrow against the Avon.
Also last night, the girls lacrosse team traveled down to Kenston High School to face off against the Kenston Bombers. The lady rangers lost 20-3 in a hard fought game from the whole team. The girls are back on the turf home, at Garfield Middle School on April 5. to face off against Aurora High School.
yesterday, the girls track team competed in a varsity quad meet against the Magnificat, Gilmore, and Orange High School girls track teams. The Rangers secured 2nd place overall and got first place in multiple events, including the 4×1, the 4×4, and the 4×8. The girls have another track meet this week April 5. at Avon Lake High School.
