The baseball team played Valley Forge last night and absolutely destroyed them, 26-8. This win puts them in 4th place in the entire state of Ohio. Lakewood baseball is on a hot streak, as they seem to be unbeatable with a 9-0 record. Senior Nick Hart went 3/3 at bat with two home runs, earning him the From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award. Lakewood baseball will play Normandy tomorrow at 5 P.M.

Boys lacrosse played West Geauga yesterday and beat them 9-4. This gives a record of 2-3. Freshman Emmet Barley scored his first career goal and had an all-around great performance, earning him the From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award. Boys’ lacrosse will play at Holy Name tomorrow at 6 P.M.

 Softball also played last night and won 15-4. This win gives them a record of 2-3. Junior Carys Crone had an amazing stat line, with 4 Ks, 3 ERs, and going 4/4 in the batter’s box with three runs. Senior Emily Gillick also played amazingly, going 3/5 with two runs and two RBIs. Lakewood Softball will play again tomorrow against Buckeye at 5:00 P.M.
