The hockey team traveled to Cleveland Heights Friday to face the Tigers. Unfortunately the team lost this affair 10-0. Senior Freddie Showers came in to goal at the start of the second period and did not let a goal in until 30 seconds left in the game. This earns him From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award.”
Saturday, Nov. 22
The hockey team had game 2 of their 3 game stand at home against Nordonia. The team lost 10-0. Senior Rian Fetting displayed physicality, delivering five clean hits. This got him From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award.”
Sunday, Nov. 23
On Sunday, the hockey team finished their tough weekend on the road against North Olmsted. They lost this 11-1. Freshman Ian Walls scored his first high school goal. The hockey team will be back in action Thursday, Dec. 4 in Brooklyn.
Lakewood girls’ basketball took on Revere at Hiram College for its tournament. This was a great start to the season for the girls, as they won the game 53-31. Junior Charleigh Doxley scored 18 of the Rangers’ points, winning Hiram’s “Player of the Game” trophy and From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award. Girls’ basketball’s next game is Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
