The boys basketball team faced Bay High School in a CWC road matchup Friday. Despite a game delay caused by a power outage, the team overcame adversity and earned a 54-42 win behind strong post play from senior Lamarien Wilson. His performance earned him the From the Sidelines “Who Put the Hustle In” award.
Saturday, Jan. 10
Lakewood’s girls’ basketball team beat Bay Village 51-40 at home last night. Lakewood offered the BOLD Coney dog to fans this weekend; it was advertised at $4 and will be available at future home games, so be sure to come support the team and enjoy one of these hot dogs. The Rangers put together a strong performance in the 11-point victory, and freshman Chloe Carroll had an outstanding game with steady playmaking and rebounds. The girls’ basketball team returns to action tonight at home against Avon — make sure to come to the game and show your support against the Eagles!
The boys team competed in the tail half of this basketball double header with a matchup against the Eagles from Avon High School. The boys lost this battle, 46-35. The team will be back in action Friday, Jan. 16 against Westlake High School at home.
The hockey team played on the road against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and lost 9-1. The team will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 17.
