Last night, the girls’ basketball team defeated Avon 59-50 at home, leading throughout the game. Sophomore Ariana “D1” Hueter had a fantastic night, leaping over Avon players for rebounds and converting contested putbacks at the block. She earned From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award. The win gives the team a 9-5 overall record and a 6-2 mark in conference play. The team returns Saturday, Jan. 17, at Westlake.
