The boys basketball team took on the Westlake High School Demons on Friday, Jan. 16 at home. This demanding CWC matchup ended in a plus in the wins column, as the Rangers took it 52-44. Senior Nate Bruwer commanded the offense with his shooting, play-making, and defense in this game, earning him From the Sidelines “Who Put the Hustle in Award.”
Saturday, Jan. 17
The boys basketball team finished off a wicked back-to-back game day against the tough foe in Revere High School. Unfortunately, the boys were unable to get the edge on this opponent, as they lost 65-39.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
The boys and girls hockey team played a tough matchup against Bay High School last Wednesday, where they lost, 8-5. They will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 31, against Notre Dame Cathedral Latin at home for senior night.\
Tuesday, Jan. 27
The boys’ basketball team took on the Rocky River Pirates in the “Battle of the Bridge” on Tuesday and walked out with a resounding 50-34 victory. Senior Liam McGann returned from injury and was in the starting lineup, grabbing many key rebounds. The boys will be back in action Friday, Jan. 30, against Normandy High School at home.
Wednesday, Jan 28th
The girls’ basketball team took on North Olmsted at home, destroying them 65-38. Lakewood had an amazing game, driving and scoring on North Olmsted on almost every possession. Junior Olivia Andregg played great, scoring threes while heavily contested multiple times. Lakewood’s next game is Wednesday, Feb. 4.
