The boys basketball team faced Normandy High School last Friday in an intense CWC matchup. The boys won this matchup, 53-40. This win was backed by senior Nate Bruwer’s intuitive passing. This earned him From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle In Award.” The boys will be back in action for another CWC matchup tonight, Feb. 3 against Valley Forge at home.
Saturday, Jan. 31
The boys and girls hockey team had their senior night on Saturday against NDCL, where they lost 10-0. This unfortunate loss came at the hands of the best team in the league.
The girls indoor track team had a meet at SPIRE Academy. The girls had a lot of incredible efforts, including a strong time by senior Sophia Eccher in the 400m, and junior Ruby McEwen in the 1600m. The girls will be back in action Thursday, Feb. 5.
Sunday, Feb. 1
The boys and girls hockey team had another league matchup on Sunday this time against Bay High School. Unfortunately they dropped this match, 8-2. This was the last regular season game before playoffs.
The boys indoor track team had a meet at Mount Union on Sunday. The boys had several key performances, including junior Porter Gilliland, who got 3rd overall in a tough lineup of 1600m runners. This earned him From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award.” Junior Johnny Freeman also had a season Personal Best in the 800m. The boys will be back in action Thursday, Feb. 5 at SPIRE Academy.
