Lakewood girls’ basketball played Broadview Heights on Monday, losing 37-33. From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award goes to junior Charleigh Doxley for being a team leader and playing to her fullest potential the whole game. Lakewood girls’ basketball will play Avon at home on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Good luck, Rangers!
Tuesday, Feb. 17
The Lakewood boys basketball team played Buckeye away last night, winning 59-36. This win put Lakewood as #1 in the conference, with the winner being determined in their game against North Olmsted tomorrow. From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award goes to junior Rory Chanter for playing a great game and being a keystone player in Lakewood’s road to conference championships.
The hockey team had its first playoff game last night against Brooklyn High School. They won this matchup, 8-2. Junior James Sattler had an incredible performance, scoring 4 goals. The boys and girls will be back in action tomorrow, Feb. 19, against Normandy High School for the second round of the playoffs.
