The Lakewood gymnastics team had Districts last night, placing third in the event. This marks the end of their season, having a long and great season. Lakewood had no athletes place, but their overall great performance caused them to squeeze into third place. Good job this year, gymnastics!

Lakewood wrestling had an insane performance this weekend at sectionals today, with multiple of their athletes advancing onto districts. The following athletes advanced on the girls’ team: El tha (1st), Riley Robertson (1st), Fallon Popovich (2nd), and Alana Brown (2nd). Those advancing on the boys’ team are as follows: Diezel Edgar (2nd), Jaymal Massengale (4th), Rammze Alabd (4th), and Kosta Laska (4th). From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award goes to El Tha and Riley Robertson for their combined effort to place first in the respective weight classes. The boys will move on to Wadsworth for Districts, and the girls will travel to Findley. Good luck, Rangers!
