The boys’ lacrosse team played North Ridgeville last night, winning the game 4-3. Lakewood played great, securing their first win of the season with a 1-1 record. From the Sidelines’ “Who Put in the Hustle” award goes to junior Peter Humphreys for being an unstoppable force, blocking almost every shot North Ridgeville shot. Lakewood plays next Tuesday, March 24th, against Padua Franciscan.
Thursday, March 19
The girls lacrosse team had a long road trip on their hands last night as they took on the Beavers from Painesville Riverside High School. They unfortunately lost this affair, 23-2. Seniors Gwen Hongosh and Kirsten Lloyd each got one in the goal for the rangers. This was Kirsten’s first high school goal, earning her From the Sidelines’ “Who Put the Hustle in Award.” The girls are back in action Saturday, March 21 against the Westlake Demons.
