The boys’ lacrosse team played Saint Vincent-Saint Mary on Saturday, losing 14-2. The boys put up a great game, but LeBron’s home school prevailed in the end. Boys Lacrosse will play again tomorrow, Apr. 1, against Benedictine. Good luck, Rangers!
The girls’ lacrosse team had a tough road match against Green High School at Green. The girls lost this affair 9-6. Senior Gwen Hongosh scored 4 goals in this matchup. The girls will play again tomorrow, April 1 against Glen Oak.
Baseball destroyed Aurora 16-3 at their home opener, giving Lakewood a great start to their season. Senior Cooper Russell crushed a home run on Aurora, running up the score on them even more. Lakewood’s win in their first game provides a good outlook for the rest of their season.
Monday, March 30
The boys baseball team had a wicked early season matchup against Saint Ignatius last night on the road. Despite all the odds, the boys pushed through and won 4-0. Senior Nick Hart pitched 6 innings of shutout baseball. His first 5 innings on the bump he did not allow a hit. This dominant performance earns him From the Sidelines “Who Put the Hustle In Award.” The boys are looking to continue this hot streak Thursday, April 2 at home against Chagrin Falls.
