    Lakewood Boys Basketball Team

The Lakewood boys basketball team is off to a very good start and are doing an impressive job when they play. They have ten wins and two losses. Their first loss of the season came from a rival from down the street St. Eds. St. Eds was the first game of the ranger’s season. The game was also the first game in Lakewood’s new gym. The Rangers played a tough game but lost 51 to 38.

The only other loss the Rangers have is to Olmsted Falls. Lakewood lost by only three points to Olmsted Falls in a very hard-fought game on both sides of the ball. Lakewood is the second seed in the Southwestern Conference with only one loss in the conference. That only loss was the one they lost by three to Olmsted Falls.

The Rangers up coming games are Friday January 19, 2018 at Berea Midpark high school. When Berea Midpark faced Lakewood at home, Lakewood won by eight with the final score being 38 to 41. The next game the rangers have after Berea Midpark is Tuesday January 30, 2018 at home against Olmsted Falls.

The Tuesday game is a very important game for the Rangers because Olmsted Falls is the first place team in the Southwestern Conference. Olmsted Falls has no losses in the conference. Lakewood only has one loss in the Conference and that is their loss to Olmsted Falls by three. If the Rangers beat Olmsted Falls by four points or more the Rangers will move to first place in the conference and if the Rangers win out they will win the conference.

Come out and support the Lakewood Rangers in their next two games and see them take first place in the conference.
