    LeBron James scored 29 points and hit the go head lay-up with 34.5 seconds to play, winning his third All-Star MVP award while his hand-picked team rallied to win, beating Curry’s team 148-145

    For the first time in 67 editions of the All-Star game, the league abandoned the traditional East West format used since 1951 and allowed team captions Stephen and LeBron to close their own roosters.

    This twist tried the All-Star game into the worlds richest pick up game. The intrigue was reflected on the Staples Center court, where  real basketball game broke out.

    James team won on defense; On the final possession James and Durant railed Curry, preventing him from making a three to win the game.

    “I think myself and Stephen took it upon ourselves when we took on the format that we had to change the way the game was played,” said James who also had 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

    Both teams played great defense for long periods of time. LeBron’s team rallied from a double-digit deficit in the final minutes.

    Curry choose all his Golden State teammates Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, but the trio had to play against Durant. Jame’s choose Oklahoma duo Westbrook and Paul George to play along with Kyrie who led them last summer.

    Each member o the winning team won a great 100,000, a distinct raise from the previous All-Star games.
