Spring is now here and so is softball season, senior Audra Tuleta is a huge component for the varsity team. She plays catcher and also pitches for the Rangers. This will be her fourth year as a varsity player. Unfortunately, Audra had suffered a concussion during the winter but was able to recover just in time for the teams opening game against Oberlin. She started her senior year off on the right foot with a home run, helping the team win with a 4 to 3 victory. I was able to ask Audra a couple of questions about softball.

Q: How long have you been playing softball for?

A: “I have been playing the game since I was in second grade and I can’t believe my senior year is finally starting.”

Q: What are some of your favorite softball memories?

A: “I really enjoyed getting to play with my older sister when I was a freshman, and playing with her on her senior night. I also get to play with my younger sister now as a senior, and getting to be on the same team as them was something I’ll never forget.”

Q: What are you most excited for this season?

A: “I’m excited to enjoy my last season playing for Lakewood, and for the Tennessee trip with the team over spring break. We’ll be playing a bunch of games and it was a lot of fun last year.”

Q: What are your plans for after high school?

A: “Next year I’m attending Cuyahoga Community College to study criminal justice and to play softball. I am really excited for what next year has to offer.”
