    Seniors, don’t forget to pick up your application for the $500 OAPSE 129 scholarship.

     

    Are you a senior planning to attend college next year and major in education?  There are opportunities for $500 scholarships available through the Lakewood Teachers Association.  Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and an essay. Further information about the on-line application is available in the guidance department and on the LHS web page.  Completed applications are due this Friday.

     

    Attention Current 10th & 11th Grade Students:

    Effective Leadership Academy, Lakewood City Schools and the Chamber of Commerce have partnered together to turn your city into a classroom!

    This is a 5-day college and career-readiness program June 11th-15th, where each day is anchored by a central theme, a closely associated leadership skill-set, and a carefully selected location in your community.

    Only 50 students will be accepted into this program for 2018. Applications are due tomorrow in order for you to be considered for this exciting opportunity to get to know Lakewood like you never have before!  Questions – See Mr. Siftar

     

    Make sure to pre-order your copy of the 2018 Lakewood High School Cinema as soon as possible to ensure that you receive a yearbook on distribution day. You can either go online at jostens.com or the Bookroom.  The current price is $60, but the price will go up after distribution.  Don’t be left out.  Order your copy now!

     

    Are you interested in trying out for the LHS Rangerettes or Flag Corps?  Clinics and tryouts will be held at the Lakewood High School gym in mid-April.  Rangerette Clinics are scheduled for Monday, April 16th thru Friday, April 20th, from 5:30-7:30pm.

    Flag clinics are the following week, Monday, April 23rd thru Thursday, April 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm.

    It’s Spirit Week, hope you’ve got on your tie dye!  Tomorrow is Denim Day, Thurs. is Favorite Jersey Day and Friday is Class Colors Day.  Class Colors are: freshman/RED, sophomores/YELLOW, juniors/WHITE, seniors/PURPLE and staff/BLACK
