Burke Fortner is a senior at Lakewood High School. He enjoys many aspects of going to school here. He is a member of both the swim team and the baseball team, attends a variety of sporting events, and has made many great memories here.
I got to talk to Burke about many things that he likes about this school. His responses are located below.
Q: What is your favorite class at LHS and why?
A: “My favorite class at Lakewood was definitely Writing for College. I would have to say it is because I enjoyed being able to write what I liked and I had a really fun teacher.”
Q: What is your favorite high school memory so far?
A: “My favorite high school memory is the Friday night baseball games. Nothing beats playing under the lights.”
Q: What advice would you give underclassmen?
A: “The advice that I have for underclassmen is that it is important that they do not slack off early because it is really hard to get your GPA back up.”
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: “My future plans are to attend Arizona State University in the fall, and major in Finance.”
Q: Are you excited to leave high school behind?
A: “Yes, I am excited to leave high school. Just because I cannot wait to go to a lot of new places and meet many new people. But, part of me is not excited because I will not be able to see my friends from Lakewood High School.”
