Featured Athlete-Blake Setta

May 4, 2018
Blake Setta is a senior at Lakewood High School. He is one of the 10 seniors on the baseball team. The team is almost done with their season and is actually down to only 8 more guaranteed games. The team’s record is 8-11 and have won three of the last four games. Blake is a pitcher and the center fielder. He also played football and basketball for the high school. I got the chance to sit down and ask Blake a couple of questions.
Q:What is your favorite baseball memory?
A: ” My favorite baseball memory was hitting a home run against our school rivals Saint Edward High School. It was the perfect night for it especially because it was senior night and against them.”
Q: How long have you played baseball?
A: “I have played baseball for forever but actually since I was four years old.”
Q: What were you most excited about for this season?
A: “I was super excited to get back on the field because last year I couldn’t play. It was just really good to get back on the field. I was also really excited to see how the team would be, I knew we would be good but I was just excited to play with my teammates again.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “My plans for after high school are undecided. I’m not 100% sure on where or what I want to do. I for sure want to play baseball somewhere but I just don’t know where yet.”
