Things in the rap world have been getting pretty exciting lately. New music, music videos, and also music beef. Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj is one of the popular beef in the rap community as of right now.

The public feud started August 19th, on ‘Twitter’, when Scott’s third studio album, Astroworld, took the No. 1 spot on Billboard above Nicki Minaj’s fourth studio album, Queen. The albums have come out a week within one another, with Travis’s album dropping August 3rd and Nicki’s dropping Aug. 11. Nicki Minaj’s album didn’t do so great the first week sales.

According to HDD, Queen will move between 135,000 to 150,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 17. HDD also reports that 45,000 to 55,000 will be pure album sales. If those number hold up, this will be the least selling album of her career.

Kylie Jenner, cosmetics mogul and Travis Scott’s girlfriend, stepped up to support Scott, posted a promotion for Travis’s upcoming tour on Instagram.

Nicki Minaj was not having it. She took to twitter saying:

The next day, Minaj, Scott and Jenner awkwardly avoided one another at the MTV 2018 VMA’s. Both artist performed on stage, with Nicki Minaj winning “Best Hip-Hop Video” for Chun-Li. At the end of Travis Scott’s performance, he informs the crowd saying, “R.I.P. to Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Astroworld number one right now.”

Nicki made a light joke on Queen Radio saying,

“Me against baby Stormi” and “We have this rivalry now.”

Minaj also cleared up rumored beef with her and Kylie Jenner saying, “This is strictly about music. She has nothing to do with this. She supported her man as she should. My fans and I aren’t feeding into this. We love Kylie.”

At the end of the day, Nicki Minaj is still pretty heated about the situation. Many people think she’s overreacting and others think she is right to share her opinion. Chance The Rapper also took to Twitter to give his opinion on Minaj’s comments.
