    ATTENTION SENIORS: Prestige Photography will be here at LHS thisThursday, to take free senior yearbook portraits. Sign up for a time slot on the papers outside Room B207 (Mr. Ebner’s room). ONLY PHOTOS FROM PRESTIGE CAN BE USED IN THE YEARBOOK,so make sure to have yours taken on the September 27th.

     

    Underclass picture retake day is Monday, October 8thduring lunch periods.

     

    Attention All Students!  The Homecoming dance “a night to glow” will be held on Saturday, October 6th. Tickets are on sale now for $15 each thru October 2nd, the price will go up to $20 on October 3rd& 4th and you must have the signed form with you at the time of purchase.  Absolutely NO tickets will be sold on Friday, October 5thor at the dance. And remember, you must have your school ID in order to get into the dance and if you are bringing a guest, they must also have identification. Also, per the ticket order form, appropriate dress is required.  If you have any questions regarding appropriate Homecoming attire please see Mr. Walter in the main office, Mr. Chiaravalle in Hse. 1, or Ms. Guzowski in room C209.

    History Club will meet today, after school in room C314.  We will have a presentation on the Vietnam War and the counter culture.  All are welcome.  See Dr. G with any questions.

     

    Attention Lakewood Athletes:

    If you earned a varsity letter in two different sports or two consecutive years in one sport, you qualify to join the Lakewood Varsity Club. The Varsity Club will promote sportsmanship, compete for the OHSAA Golden Megaphone award, help coach youth athletics, attend the OHSAA Leadership Conference, help organize spirit rally, organize fundraisers, help at OHSAA tournaments and LHS awards ceremonies. If you are interested in joining, please pick up an application in the athletic office.

     

    The weight room will be open after school 3:30pm-5:00pm Monday through Friday. Coach Ribar will be the supervisor. All students must have current participation forms on file.

     

    SENIORS, Homecoming Court Nominations will be taken in the Bookroom Lobby during lunch periods beginning today thru Wednesday!  You will need your student ID in order to make a nomination!  Each senior can nominate onesenior male and onesenior female for Homecoming Royalty.  REMEMBER, ONLY SENIORS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION and ONLY SENIORS MAY MAKE NOMINATIONS.

     

    Are you thinking about what you want to do after high school?  Trying to find the right career for you? The military’s ASVAB Career Exploration program offers students a no-cost, no-obligation opportunity for career exploration and education planning.  ASVAB is a service project conducted by the U.S. armed forces for the general public.  Your results are not shared with the armed forces.  But those of you going to the service, this test will serve as the entrance exam.

    Find the plan that’s right for you and sign-up for the ASVAB program in room B-101 or talk to your guidance counselor.  ASVAB testing is on Wednesday, October 10th.  The sign-up deadline is Monday, October 8th.

     

    Attention Science Enthusiasts! The deadline for applying to the Watters Science Seminar is extended to the end of the day tomorrow. Come join us for monthly seminars to interact with local science professionals. See your science teacher or Mrs. Hubbard in A307 for an application
