As the fall sports season comes to a close, it is time for the teams to celebrate their season.

Five teams received the SWC 1st team award and two teams received 2nd team.

Boys Cross Country, Cheer leading, Football, Girls Soccer, and Boys Soccer are among the teams receiving 1st team.

Boys Cross Country also placed 1st overall in the SWC championship.

The students receiving these awards are Junior Cormac Pepper-Kramer (BCC),  Senior Nate Bilski (FB), Senior Claire Hylton (GS), Senior Jack Hueter (BS), and Junior Teaja Keith (CL).

Hylton commented on the season saying, “it was a tough season but we had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories.”

Additionally, two fall sports teams received 2nd team honors: Girls Tennis and Volleyball. Senior volleyball player Eliza Richardson and senior tennis players Clare Harvey, Erin Kelly, Molly Roche, and Sarah Yonkers have all been awarded 2nd team.

Upon being asked about her final season, Richardson had this to say, she was happy to be part of the team for four years and recently committed to Ohio Wesleyan University to further her athletic and academic career.

The 1st or 2nd team awards relate to a players rank in the Southwestern Conference.

The 2018 fall athletes worked very hard this season and were very successful. Hats off to those receiving SWC awards and their focus and dedication. Regardless of rank or awards we should celebrate all of our student athletes for putting in the time and effort and representing the Lakewood Rangers.
