    The boys’ basketball team is in dire need of your help!

    Don’t forget to wish Christina Auck luck, as she heads off to the State Indoor Track and Field Meet tomorrow.

    Christina will compete in the Division 1, Girls Shot Put, at the Spire Institute at 9:30am.

    Christine will be competing against the top 24 Division 1 Shot Put athletes in the state!

    Are you a reptile and amphibian enthusiast, or are you just interested in seeing the amazing collection of lizards, snakes, and more right here at LHS?

    If so, stop by Herpetology Club next Tuesday, March 5 from 3:00-3:45 in room C111.

    Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you don’t plan to join the club.

    Attention Gamers Club members! Gamers Club will be held next Friday, March 8 in Lecture Hall 3. We will make this a potluck party, so please bring one snack or drink to share with the group. See Mr. Streets or Mrs. Matthews for details.

    Set up for the Athletic Boosters Night at the Races, tomorrow morning, or Pack lunches at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank after school Wednesday, March 6.

    Good luck to our Academic Challenge team as they head into the SWC tournament on Saturday!

     

    The 17th Annual Physics Cardboard Boat Regatta sponsored by Tavens Packaging and Display Solutions is scheduled for Tuesday March 5th from 3:15pm until 4:00pm.  Over 150 physics students have been constructing boats out of cardboard and packing tape that can hold 2 students and be able to float across the pool without sinking.  Last year’s regatta was hysterical!  We have over 55 cardboard boats this year.  The cost of admission is only $1.00 for staff and students.  Presale tickets are available in the bookroom or you can get them at the door.  Also, tune into the Fox 8 Morning Show on Monday morning to see the made for television regatta on the Kicking it with Kenny segments.

     

    LHS seniors seeking to continue their education at a 4-year or 2-year college, university or trade school, are encouraged to apply for Lakewood Ranger Education Foundation Scholarship.  The Lakewood Leadership Team scholarship application is available now through the Guidance Office for any senior who intends to pursue an education major.
