Are Video Games a Good Quarantine Pastime?

With many of us staying at home for the past 3 weeks due to the COVID-19 virus, many individuals have become bored with doing the same things over and over again. Yes while these things can be entertaining for quite some time they eventually lose their “luster”.

However there is one activity that myself and many others believe can always provide a new fun and exciting experience . That activity is known as gaming, now before I go any further I’m not speaking of the unhealthy kind where individuals waste 12+ hours staring at their screen playing the latest AAA game. I’m speaking of the causal kind that has been proven to ease stresses.  (Study supporting my claim.)

Some of these games can really relax and take away the worries of people as they become immersed in the virtual world the platform provides. For example Minecraft is such a game, this video game in particular allows individuals to do as they please, build their own homes or cities, farms, castles, essentially anything the player wants. It really keeps your mind off things, and I truly believe that some people out there need something like that in their lives to ease all
