The Lakewood Baseball team has had an eventful season so far dealing with rain cancellations, make up games, and far travels to compete. Despite some hiccups, the team continues to work hard in practice and remain true to themselves and to the game. Their dedication really paid off and April 12, when the boys faced a double header against Valley Forge. The weather was nice for spectators, but a little hot if you’re the one running the bases. The Lakewood Baseball team persevered through the heat however, and took home two big wins that night.

With an 11-1 Lakewood, mercy rule the first game, the team was full of adrenaline and ready to take home their second win of the night. The game, originally starting at seven pm was pushed up giving the guys a bit of extra time in the sunlight. The game was going really well, Rangers up 8-0 when it game to the attention of the crowd that Senior pitcher, William Hyatt had the chance to beat the school record for the most strike outs in one game. When the game was over, the Rangers had won their second game of the night and Will Hyatt tied the school record with sixteen strikeouts in one game.
