The Lakewood Community Festival was Saturday, Sept. 10 starting at 11 a.m going to 5 p.m. It took place at Madison Park at 13029 Madison Avenue. 

The festival is a time to celebrate the community and also culture heritage. There were many fun activities like live entertainment, craft booths, game booths, an inflatable obstacle course, and many more activities. The festival also showcased different kinds of foods like pierogis, kielbasa and sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, cabbage and noodles, pizza, and much more. In addition to the food, there were traditional ethnic baked goods and other desserts at the festival. 

This festival is traditionally the last event happening in Lakewood during the summer. The proceeds from the festival will be donated to a variety of local organizations.
