LHS Swim and Dive

The Lakewood Rangers Swim and Dive Team is going strong this year! The Boys Varsity team has four wins and two losses, while the Girls Varsity team has four wins and three losses so far.  If you are interested in swimming next year here is what you need to know: the coaches help swimmers and divers achieve their goals at any extent and help them create the love for swimming. The meets are primarily in Northeast Ohio with travel meets each year.

On Jan. 16, the Rangers took on the top-ranked Westlake swim team, said to be “The Rangers’ tallest task yet” by Lakewood swimmer Russell Oldfield. This meet consists of a multitude of events from breaststroke, butterfly freestyle, to backstroke, and more.

Some of the top performing divers are JP McManamon, Rian Fetting, Edie Barcelona and Drew Wallen. Another few top performing swimmers are Caden Sandoval, Gavin Steimac, Ava Watts and Piper McElfresh.

If Swim and Dive interests you make sure to contact Mr. Sedlak. Even if Swimming doesn’t interest you, plan to attend the meets.  The next Swim meet is a GLC Conference meet which takes place Jan. 27 at Lakewood High School.
