Obama Will Leave U.S. Presidency with Offers to Become President (of Spotify Playlists)

Only a few days remain before the Obama family will move out of the White House. And after a strong eight year presidency, a big question hovers over the head of soon to be former U.S. President Barack Obama: What will he do now? Once taking on the title ‘Former U.S. President’, many take up new hobbies into their retirement such as golf or writing. However, current President Barack Obama seems to have a different sort of opportunity awaiting him after his presidency. President Obama has shared numerous Spotify playlists with the public and has gained high positive feedback from many of his supporters. Among these playlists you can find a summer playlist, a Christmas playlist, a gym playlist, and many more.

Due to the high popularity of the President’s playlists, he joked that the company on which he made his famous playlists, Spotify, should give him a job. In return, the company Spotify made a post on their website on their career page stating that they had a vacancy for the position “President of Playlists”. In the description, Spotify stated that applicants should have “at least eight years’ experience running a highly-regarded nation”, and joking that all applicants must have “a friendly and warm attitude, and a Nobel Peace Prize”. Later after the company posted this opening, they took to Twitter to advise the President to check out their new job listings, saying “I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify. Have you seen this one?” leaving the President with a link to their careers page with his specially created position.

Whether Obama decides to continue a role in a presidency at Spotify, or go into retirement, he has vowed to never stop fighting for the citizens of this country and their constitutionally promised rights.
