    Beauty and the Beast


    Various people are the world have already headed to the theaters to see the new hit movie “Beauty and the Beast” as it was recently released on March seventeenth. The original “Beauty and the Beast” was released on November 13th, 1991.

    Between these time gaps, technology has advanced tremendously and that can be shown throughout each of the movies. The “old” movie is produced as a cartoon, as the new movie uses real actors to play the characters.The new high-end technology  adds to the dramatic effects the new movie posses, as the sound effects, camera angles and fresh songs appeal to the audience.

    Additionally, it has broken ticket sale records–hitting $170 million dollars within the first weekend of sales. This astonishing amount has surpassed the previous record holder (“Batman vs. Superman: Dawn for Justice”) and is estimated to hit at least $1 billion by the end of its ticket sales. Starring in the movie include  actress Emma Watson (Belle), actor Dan Stevens (Beast) and director Bill Condon– all helping it reach its accomplishments and bring it to life.

    But this does not take away from the elegance and greatness the original movie portrayed. The 1991 version of “Beauty and the Beast” was the first animated film to be nominated for a Oscar in the Best Picture category and was one of the first Disney princess movies to be produced.

    No matter what version of “Beauty and the Beast” you watch, they both deliver a family friendly vibe and show a classic fairytale, inspiring many young girls and boys.
