Jackie Burdette
March 24, 2017
Jackie is a junior here at LHS who plays varsity softball. The girls had a scrimmage on 3/23/17 against Oberlin and crushed them 10-0. This is a good sign for hopefully what turns out to be a great season. I was able to interview her during class and ask her a few questions about her love for the game.
Q: How long have you been playing softball?
A: I’ve been playing for seven years and I still love the game.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the game?
A: I love the games that come down o the wire. The competition and focus is something that can’t be beaten, win or lose.
Q: Why did yo first start playing the game?
A: It’s the “family sport” kinda thing. It’s been a tradition in my family that the girls play softball and I fell in love with the game.
Q: What are your future plans for you and the game?
A: In a perfect world I want to play for as long as I can. I am sure I will play my senior year but I do not know what I am going to do in college because I think it’s going to be a lot to juggle.
Q: What is your favorite memory from playing the game?
A: In the summer of my seventh grade year I played for a team that wasn’t all that good but I was selected to the all-star team. It got rained out but I met a lot of cool people and made some friends even though we didn’t get to play.
