March 29, 2017
Released on March 24, 2017, the new Power Rangers movie already has earned 59.2 million dollars within the first few days of it’s release.
The film has already made some pretty big landmarks in film history.
It has the first LGBT on-screen superhero in the Yellow Ranger: Trini Kwan (Played by Becky G.)
It also has the first autistic on-screen superhero in the Blue Ranger: Billy Cranston (Played by RJ Cyler.)
Although I haven’t seen the movie yet, I’m planning on seeing it soon while it’s in theaters 2017 in 3-D as a 17th birthday present.
Even though Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 46%, it hasn’t stopped many fans from saying that this movie was amazing. IGN gave the film a 7/10, saying, “Power Rangers doesn’t quite pull off everything it wants to, but it’s a fun time at the theater nonetheless.”
The cast consists of
Dacre Montgomery as Jason Scott/Red Ranger
Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart/Pink Ranger
RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger
Becky G as Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger
And Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor/Black Ranger
There’s also some major actors in this movie such as
Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa
And Bryan Cranston as Zordon.
Some of you may know Elizabeth Banks from the Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect and Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad.
It will also feature some of the actors from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series as citizens of Angel Groove: Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson.
So everyone, are you planning on seeing this movie or not?
