Lindor Stars in Indians’ Win
Indians’ shortstop Francisco Lindor celebrates as he rounds third base following his grand slam against the Texas Rangers

Indians’ shortstop Francisco Lindor stared in the Tribe’s 9-6 win over the Texas Rangers completing the three game sweep as the Indians have started the brand new season 3-0 looking like a very good ball club.
Lindor went 3 for 4 with a walk while driving in 5 runs. Lindor hit a go ahead grand slam to help the Indians cap off a 5 run 9th inning for the lead. DH Carlos Santana went 1 for 4 with a walk and RBI. 2nd baseman Jose Ramirez went 1 for 4 as well and drove in one run.
Starting pitcher Danny Salazar pitched well going for 5.2 innings and recorded 4 strike outs. He did give up 4 runs on 5 hits add walked 4 batters. The bullpen did their job and shut the door.
The bullpen combined for one run on 2 hits and 3 strike outs over 3.1 innings of work.
The Indians are traveling to Arizona to play the Diamondbacks (3-1) who are also off to a hot start. This will be the last set of games on the road as the Indians prep for the home opener against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, April 11th at 4:10 pm in downtown Cleveland at Progressive Field.
