Cleveland Cavaliers: Onto the Next
April 28, 2017
It’s that time of year again, as the Cavs are in the playoffs. The Cavaliers have so far sweep the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs by winning all four games.
The Cavs outscored the Pacers by five in the third quarter of Sunday’s 106-102 victory to go on to the second round of the playoffs, getting rid of an Indiana team that challenged Cleveland from the very first game with the score being close until after half-time.
LeBron James’ late 3- pointers put Cleveland ahead for good. He finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
“Tough team, we knew that coming into the series,” James said afterward the win on sunday. “We locked into our scheme. Our coaching staff gave us a great game plan going into every game — just trying to execute it.”
It was a historic day for James, as the distinction continue to pile up for the 14-year veteran. The sweep was the 10th of his career total.
Not that Indiana didn’t put a scare in the Cavs.
C.J. Miles was a midrange jump shot away from stealing Game 1 and held a 26-point second half lead in Game 3 but the Cavs came to steal the win 119-114.
After a week of rest between series, on Monday the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Toronto Raptors at 7 p.m. in the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals.
