Isabel Cintron is a junior here at Lakewood high school. Isabel participates in basketball year at Lakewood and has been for all three years she has been here. Isabel was part of the starting five this year when the Lakewood Girls Basketball team won Districts and made their first appearance in regionals in over 20 years.

Cintron is a fun and caring person who isn’t afraid to let their personality show. I asked Isabel some questions to get to know her better.

Q: What is your favorite class at Lakewood High School?

A: “Ceramics because it is fun and you get to me creative. I took both Ceramics 1 and 2.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Lakewood High School?

A: “Spirit weeks and that there is always something going on. You can never be bored.”

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and why?

A: “Ms. Zaaeed because she has a contagious positivity and she gives me Popsicles!”

Q: What advice would you give to under classmen?

A: “Enjoy your four years, they go by quick.”

Q: What sports do you play and what made you join them?

A: “Basketball, I have been playing since I was little.”

Q: Who is your favorite basketball player?

A: “Kyrie Irving, I admire is handles and the moves he has to get to the basket.”

Q: What is your favorite memory from junior year so far?

A: “My favorite memory so far is winning districts with some of my best friends.”

Q: Are you excited about next year?

A: ” Yes especially for the new gym and building.”

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: “My plans for the future are to go to school and study either business or something in the medical field.”

Isabel enjoys balling out and hanging with her friends in her free time. She works at Panera, and has been there for about a year now. Cintron’s favorite show is Friends and One Tree Hill is a close second. Isabel has two dogs names Bruno and Diesel that she loves very much.
