Donald Trump fires FBI Director James Comey

Donald Trump fires FBI Director James Comey

On May 9th, news broke across the U.S. that the director of the F.B.I.,  James Comey, had been fired by President Donald Trump. Initial speculation and rumor was that it was an attempt to end investigation or to delay investigation into the Russia – Trump Affairs. Makes sense, right? He’s under investigation and then he suddenly fires the

director of the organization investigating him. In response to the question of why he felt James Comey deserved to be fired, Trump plainly said that he “wasn’t doing his job” properly at all. Atop this, he shot claims that Comey did not properly report or investigate into the Clinton campaign email issue. As for who will replace Comey, any permanent replacement for Comey requires Senate confirmation so it shouldn’t be feared that Trump fired Comey for personal reasons. Trump won’t be “appointing” a new FBI Director so it won’t be as much of a conflict of interest as speculators suggest.
