    Liverpool Officer Overdoses

    Liverpool+Officer+Overdoses

On Friday around 9 pm there was an officer that responded to a call involving drugs in Liverpool, Ohio, later on that officer had a drug overdose. Officer Chris Green got called to a traffic stop, where they saw 25-year old, James Buckle perform a drug transaction.

The officers that showed up at the scene had to block the car from getting away. 2 suspects were in the car, James Buckle and Cortez Collins. When the police blocked the car it was told that they tried to get rid of the drugs by dumping it in the car since it was a powdery substance. There was white powder all over the floor and seats.

The officers put gloves, a mask and everything else that is needed so they couldn’t get any of the drug on them. It was said that officer Green followed everything he was supposed to follow. When officer Green got back to the police station, another officer noticed that Green had white powder on his shirt. Green didn’t think anything of it, so he just brushed it off.

About an hour later Green passed out. Everyone believes that the drug that the 2 suspects had thrown all over the car was, fentanyl. Fentanyl is a very powerful drug that is often mixed with Heroin. This drug could get into your body just by touching it, so when Green brushed it off that is when he made contact with the drug.

He was rushed to the hospital and was given one dose of Narcan, then was rushed to a different hospital, where 3 more doses of Narcan were given to him. As of Sunday Green is doing fine.

James Buckle and Cortez Collins were charged with tampering with evidence.
