This week’s person of the week is Courtney Ribar! Courtney is very involved at Lakewood High as she has participated in the Lakewood GIrls Basketball team for all of her three years of high school and has played golf for two years, her sophomore and junior year.

This year Courtney was apart of the district winning team, but unfortunately they lost in the regional semifinals. Courtney is a regular starter for the girls basketball team and makes a big contribute to the team.

One recognizable characteristic about Courtney is the amount of effort she gives and her attitude towards the game. Courtney hopes to continue to play both basketball and golf next year.

Now here are some questions that I asked Courtney.

What do you plan to do after High School?

I plan on going at Ohio University or the University of Cincinnati in order to study Early Childhood Education or Child Psychology.

What is your favorite high school memory?

My favorite memory is being apart of the district winning team. I loved that I got to play with my best friend and my sister.

What will you miss most about high school?

Being able to know everybody and all of my friends.

What are you looking forward to most next year, being a senior?

I will be in student council next year for the first time, prom, and being a leader on the basketball team.

Courtney is also excited to go to college so she can be on her own, and be more independent.
