    Attention Students!  The Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, September 30th.  This is a reminder that you need to turn in all past due textbooks or calculators to the bookroom before you can buy a ticket.  Tickets are $15 each thru September 26th and the price is $20 on September 27th & 28th and you must have the properly completed form with you at the time of purchase.  No tickets will be sold on Friday, September 29th or at the dance.

     

     

    ATTENTION SENIORS:  Free senior yearbook pictures will be taken here at LHS on Wednesday, September 27.  A signup sheet for appointments is on the wall outside B207.  Stop by and sign up soon.  ONLY PICTURES FROM PRESTIGE PHOTOGRAPHY WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK, so make sure to have yours taken on this day.

     

     

    All students interested in meeting the new swim coach…there will be a meeting today in the cafeteria at 3:30pm.

     

     

    Seniors – Ripcho Studios will be at LHS on Monday, October 2nd to take the senior panoramic picture.  We have order forms available in the new bookroom.

     

     

    We continue to experience construction issues and do not want these concerns to reflect poorly on the event, so unfortunately we have to cancel Barney’s Cafe scheduled for tomorrow.

     

    Next Barney’s Cafe is scheduled for November 9th in the Black Box Studio Theatre

     Juniors and seniors are encouraged to meet with the College Representatives in the LRC.  Students must obtain a pass from their classroom teacher or lunchroom monitors if intending to visit during class or lunch periods.

     

     

    Model UN will meet at 6 pm, today in C314 — See Dr. G with any questions….

     

     

    Come join Club Identity for our first meeting of the year, today in C219, Mr. Brookholt’s room. We will spend some time getting to know everyone and will present an overview of what we have planned for the school year. You don’t want to miss it!

     

     

    Do you like to read or hang out at the library?  The librarians of Lakewood Public Library will be making a stop at LHS tomorrow to talk about fall programs and new books.  They will be presenting during all lunch periods in the LRC.  Come to the library tomorrow to find out what is happening for teens at Lakewood Public library.

     

     

    Come to the cafeteria after school today to help make decorations for H2O’s Pumpkin Palooza Carnival.  We’re painting murals and signs.  No special skills required! Everyone welcome.

    We also need volunteers for a kids’ carnival at Kauffman Park this Saturday. Signup sheet outside the H2O office in the cafeteria.

     

     

    Help support the Girls Tennis Team at their Chipotle fundraiser tomorrow from 5-9 pm.

     

     

    Juniors who would like to take the PSAT on October 11, 2017 must register on the LHS homepage no later than tomorrow.  No Junior PSAT registrations will be accepted after tomorrow.

    Friday is Class Colors day – freshman/RED, sophomores/YELLOW, juniors/WHITE, seniors/PURPLE and staff/BLACK

    We love having you show your school spirit, but you still must meet dress code.

     

     

    Seniors, Home Coming Court Nominations will be taken in the bookroom during the lunch periods today through Friday!  You’ll need your student ID in order to nominate!  Each senior can nominate a senior male for Homecoming King and a senior female for Homecoming Queen.  REMEMBER, ONLY SENIORS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION and ONLY SENIORS MAY MAKE NOMINATIONS.
