    The senior panoramic pictures have arrived so if you ordered one, come to the Bookroom to pick yours up.

     

    This is a reminder that as of November 1, 2017, if you are not in your 1st period classroom by 8:00 AM, you will receive a detention.

     

    The weight room is closed until further notice.

     

     

    Seniors!  Today is the last day to sign up to be an Elf for Toys for Tots.  There will be a mandatory meeting after school Thursday, November 30th in the cafeteria.

     

    Past and present students of French class, if interested, a trip to France is being offered over spring break!  Please see Madame Braquet for more details!

     

    Auditions for the Winter One Act Play Festival are next Monday, November 20th from 3:00-5:00pm in the Black Box Studio Theatre.  Stop by the theatre this week for an audition packet!

     

    The Class of 2019 will be collecting monetary donations during 3° today for “Hope for the Holidays”, today is the final day for collection.  As of yesterday’s collection we have collected $591.90.  Ms. Breckel & Mr. Roth’s class has jumped into the lead with Dr. Peterson’s class running a very close second and Ms. McQuay’s class not far behind in third place.  The class that raises the most money will win the first place prize of a food party of their choosing and the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that this donation drive will help to feed 300 Lakewood families this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

     

     

    Did you know that November is Trans Awareness month? To help educate others and celebrate the transgender community, Club ID & the Barnstormers will be watching the movie Boys Don’t Cry after school tonight in the Black Box Theater. This is our annual dinner and a movie night, so pizza, snacks, and beverages will be provided. The film will start at 3:15PM, with a brief activity to follow upon completion. The event should wrap up around 6PM. We hope to see you there!

     

    We need all hands on deck at the Westerly after school today. Bring a friend and deliver groceries to senior citizens in the apartment building. Sign up outside the H2O office in the cafeteria.

     

     

    There is a Cops 4 kids event and raffle going on where police officers take children to shop with a cop for the day. Raffle tickets and further information can be found by contacting officer Acklin in B126.

     

    In addition, the Lakewood Police Dept is holding its annual Citizen Police Academy starting in Jan 2018. There are two spots open for an eligible junior or senior in good standing who might be interested in attending. If so, contact Officer Acklin in B126

     

     

    Attention Staff and Students: The Makerspace at LHS needs your help.  We would love your input on a creative name, hashtag, and logo for the new space that will be in the LRC.  Snap or scan the codes you see on the posters hanging around the school to lend your creative genius to our Makerspace.
