The new iPhone X was announced on September 12 . It was released to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the original iPhone.  It has many new features that have not been seen on previous Apple phones. CEO Tim Cook even called it “the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone”.

The new iPhone has a 5.8 inch screen that uses OLED technology, a first for Apple. The screen reaches to the edge of the phone and no longer has a home button. To unlock the phone facial recognition is used, instead of a fingerprint. Additional features include wireless charging,water resistance, dust resistance and many new camera improvements.

Many new camera features were added to the iPhone X that apple users have not seen before. Portrait Mode allows the user to users to blur the background and adjust photo lighting. The camera also has technology that allows it to take better photos in low light situations.

Wireless charging is also a feature that is new to apple. While many other phone companies have used it before, this is the first time Apple has utilized this technology. However you must buy your own wireless charge. The good news is, any Qi-certified charger will do the job.

Due to all the new features, the iPhone X is one of the most expensive iPhones ever released. It costs $1000 dollars for a 64GB phone and $1150 for a 256GB phone. There is limited stock on this new device as well. The phone started selling from retailers on November 3.
