    Gabby Eisel

This week’s student of the week is Gabby Eisel. Gabby is a senior at Lakewood High School. She has been attending Lakewood for the past four years. She is involved in many different sports including: tennis, swimming and track. Gabby was captain of the tennis team her junior and is now the captain of the swim team in her senior year. I got the chance to ask Gabby some questions, they are listed below.

Q: Out of the three sports you play, which is your favorite?

“I don’t think I can pick a favorite between tennis and swimming. In swimming I love the support the team has for one another and looking up at the score board after a race and seeing how much time I dropped. I have been playing tennis for so long and some of my best friends are on the team. They always keep me laughing.”

Q: What was your favorite high school memory?

“I really loved going to Costa Rica. I became friends with more people and visiting a different country with people from you school was really cool. I also love pep rally’s. There’s lots of energy and they bring the whole school together.”

Q: What advice would you give to incoming freshman?

“I would just tell them to make sure to keep your grades up. It’s hard to bring them back up. Also just to get involved in clubs and sports. It’s a great way to meet new people.”

Q: What are your plans for next year?

“Right now I’m still trying to decide between the University of Cincinnati and Mercyhurst. I am planning on majoring in International affairs, political science or environmental studies.”
