Lakewood Community Services Center hosted a pet food drive on Oct. 28 at 14230 Madison Ave in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. LCSC collected donations of dry dog and cat food to help 198 Lakewood families due to economic hardships.
This food drive was organized by volunteers who were passionate about helping animals while making an impact on the community. Many families do their best to give animals the best life they can, whether they find an animal on the street or go to a shelter to pick them up. Many people cannot afford basic needs for their animals, so having the community come together and donate food can help the animals and owners be well fed and cared for. Whether you own a pet or simply care to give back to the community, you can make someone’s day by donating.
