New Coffee Shop replaces the old Vibe Lakewood
Roasted Lakewood

Once one coffee shop falls, another rises. Coffee shops in Lakewood pop up around every corner and are filled with the most pleasant workers and extensive menus. We went behind the scenes of a coffee shop called “Roasted”. The franchise took over an old coffee spot called “Vibe” around the beginning of December 2023. Sofia, the owner of both Roasted Lakewood and Roasted Tremont, spoke with us about favorite drinks, house specialities, and their loyalty program.

To be able to stand out within the Lakewood coffee competition one has to get creative. Sofia from “Roasted” embraces this with “A variety of drinks, ranging from coffee, tea and smoothies-and a speciality menu that changes regularly for seasons or just fun promotions.” Even their Chai Tea is a specialty because they make it in house. Sofia says, “I’m half Indian, my father is from Hyderabad so it lets me share my roots a little more with the community!” This is the definition of a locally owned company that is open to spreading the diverse lifestyle that we know as Lakewood.

Roasted is not only known for their amazing menu, but for their interior design. The shop has a beautifully painted mural, gorgeous plants and the warmest feeling. The cozy vibe couldn’t be more welcoming to students looking for a place to chill out, do homework or just simply relax. Emma Geraghty, student at Lakewood High School said “My experience there was good; it felt very calming to sit in there and enjoy my coffee and to talk with friends.” The welcoming environment is credited to the owner for their style and taste as well as @scaktats for the mural!

Roasted has a loyalty program where if you buy so many drinks, you get one for free. So support a locally owned business and purchase your new favorite coffee or beverage of choice from Roasted Lakewood!
