Commencement Speeches

Commencement Speeches

High school graduation is a major moment in every student’s life, and the day is characterized by who speaks during the ceremony. You could be one of the very few to be selected to present a commencement speech at our graduation ceremony! All students of the class of ‘24 are eligible to take a shot at being one of the few students to speak for their graduating class.

If you’re interested in trying out, there is a sign up sheet outside of classroom C215. Tryouts will take place on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 3 p.m. Students’ speeches must be between three-four minutes long and will be presented in front of a panel of selected faculty. Even if you’re not sure that your speech will be chosen, try out anyways! You miss 100% of the chances you don’t take.

When asked what being chosen would mean for her, Emily P. states, “it would mean so much to me because I get to represent my class and leave the class of 2024 with an impact.”
