Thanksgiving foods: we all love them and there’s always a bunch of leftovers. To reduce food waste, you can create new meals out of the leftovers that you have, giving them a whole new life. Not all leftovers have to be eaten as is; they can be turned into new foods and given different flavors and add-ons they can even become new meals for families rather than just a sandwich.

Sandwiches can be made with leftover turkey, maybe adding some cranberry sauce and other toppings. These sandwiches can be made to your own liking; you can use rolls as the bread and any fillings to create small sliders too.

Casseroles can be made with leftovers. You can use a bunch of leftovers like turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, corn, gravy and stuffing. All those leftovers can be added to a casserole dish, adding in milk and butter and then thrown into the oven for 35 minutes.

Another option is a stew or soup of some kind. This is an easy option for reusing turkey or green beans and adding them into a chicken broth with extra vegetables like carrots and celery. You can even use ham in place of turkey.

Thanksgiving foods don’t need to only be enjoyed on Thanksgiving itself; they can be enjoyed in meals to come for the week after!
